2016 Saint Louis County Property Value Appeals Filing Deadline is July 11;

Property owners who want to contest the assessed value of their property may now file an appeal to the St. Louis County Board of Equalization (BOE). By State law all appeals--regardless of filing method--must be filed or postmarked on or before the second Monday in July. That date is July 11 this year. Late filings cannot be accepted.

Online appeals may be filed at http://revenue.stlouisco.com/AssessmentAppeal/Forms. Easy access to online filing is also provided on the County home page (www.stlouisco.com). Paper appeal forms may be obtained at the BOE office, located on the second floor of the Lawrence K. Roos County Administration Building, 41 South Central Avenue in Clayton, MO.

The BOE office will notify property owners of their hearing date and time after the appeal has been received. At the hearing, property owners will need to provide supporting documentation regarding property values and should be prepared to leave a legible copy of all paperwork with the BOE.

The 2016 hearings will begin on July 12th at the North location. Residents are encouraged to file early to ensure they receive their desired location:
