St. Louis County Hosts Successful Age-Friendly Communities Workshop


In the coming months, St. Louis County officials will be working closely with its advisory taskforce and professional network of service providers to develop goals, outcomes and recommendations for a three-year action plan that is expected to be completed by June, 2015.

A Portion of St. Louis County’s Packwood Park Renamed Bluff View Park


Packwood Park, which St. Louis County Parks acquired in 1987 for future development, is comprised of three units. One unit, which is leased to the City of Wildwood, has been renamed Bluff View Park. Another 252 acres will continue to be called Packwood Park.

It’s the end of the year, Here’s how to pay your property taxes in St. Louis County while avoiding the lines


Per Missouri state statutes, 2014 property taxes must be paid or postmarked by December 31, 2014, and St Louis County does not have the authority to extend that deadline. Anyone with questions about their tax bill may call the Collector of Revenue’s office at (314) 615-5500.

2014 St. Louis County Community Health Improvement Plan Now Available


The Saint Louis County Department of Health, in conjunction with the St. Louis County Partnership for a Healthy Community, is pleased to announce the public unveiling of the 2014 St. Louis County Community Health Improvement Plan (or “CHIP”).

“The department has been working diligently for two years with the St. Louis County Partnership for a Healthy Community and its partners to identify the most pressing public health needs in the county and develop a response plan for those needs,” said Dr. Dolores J. Gunn, director of the Saint Louis County Department of Health. “I am quite excited to see the fruition of those efforts embodied in this document – a document that can now serve as a roadmap for future public health efforts in the county and the region.”

Winter Wonderland will run through January 1. The display is open to vehicular traffic Sunday through Friday from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday is reserved for horse-drawn carriage rides only and those reservations must be made in advance. Dooley Administration Cleared of Allegations in Crime Lab Probe


St. Louis County Executive Charlie A. Dooley has received notice from the United States Attorney’s Office that its investigation to alleged contracting irregularities for the St. Louis County Police Crime Lab revealed no criminal wrongdoing on the part of the County Executive, members of his staff or St. Louis County. The U.S. Attorney has closed its file on the matter.
