The Saint Louis County Department of Health will respond to complaints about violations of the Indoor Clean Air Code “Smoke-Free Law” including smoking in smoke-free areas. Your Health Department will take whatever action may be indicated by the circumstances, including inspections, as necessary, to determine if there are in fact violations of the Indoor Clean Air Code “Smoke-Free Law” and the Department's regulations. Please be aware that tobacco bars and membership organizations that have registered with the Department may be permitted to allow smoking on their premises under the Indoor Clean Air Code “Smoke-Free Law”. Owner operated bars that have registered with the Department of Health may be permitted to allow smoking on their premises under the Indoor Clean Air Code only if an exemption of the Indoor Clean Air Code has been granted by the Saint Louis County Department of Revenue.
