Child Care Programs at Your Health Department

Training and Consultations for Child Care Centers

We offer “On-site Consultations” free of charge, from a Child Care Consultant to assess your center’s needs, your training needs, review immunization records, and assist with communicable disease control.

We offer free 30-minute presentations for your students ages 3-5 years.

Current topics:

“Mimi Mouse Learns Healthy Habits” Students will learn the how and why of washing their hands.
“Hardy Heart” Students will learn the importance of a healthy diet and exercise in having a healthy heart.
“Happy Smiles” Students will learn the importance of proper dental hygiene.
“Spike’s Poison Prevention” Students will learn about poison prevention from “Spike” the porcupine.
“ Lana the Iguana” encourages children to taste, eat and enjoy more fruits and vegetables.
“Mimi Mouse Learns to Prepare for Emergencies” Mimi helps students understand the importance of preparing for emergencies without fear.
