St. Louis County Emergency Communications Commission

The ECC was created for the purpose of administering an emergency communication system including an interoperable county-wide wireless radio communication network providing communications links that permit participating governmental entities to communicate within the geographic boundaries of the county. This includes the radio system, the emergency alert system and the enhancements to the 911 system. 

Statewide Tornado Drill 2016

The Missouri’s statewide tornado drill will be held on March 15, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. If there is the possibility of severe weather, the drill may be moved to the following Thursday at 1:30 p.m. This date has been chosen by the National Weather Service.  St. Louis County will still hold the monthly drill on the first Monday of the month, weather permitting.

Building Dedication Ceremony

ECC Meetings

The St. Louis County Emergency Communications Commission will hold monthly public meetings on the second Thursday of each month at 2:00 PM.  Meetings are held at the Ohlendorf Communications Center, Media Room, 1150 Hanna Road, Ballwin, Missouri 63021.

Outdoor Warning Sirens

The outdoor warning sirens are tested monthly, weather permitting, on the first Monday of the month at 11:00 AM.  There will be a one-minute tone followed by a voice announcement.
