P.O. Josh Andrews Joins Academy Staff

Instructor Josh Andrews of the Clayton Police Department has joined the instructional staff of the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy effective December 30, 2012. He replaced Police Officer Mark Arrow who will retired from the Clayton Police Department effective February 1, 2013. A brief biography of Officer Andrews can be found after this announcement.

Officer Andrews will be assuming full teaching duties with the next recruit class, assisting Firearms Instructor Jeffrey Parnas. He can be reached at or by telephone at (314) 889-8617.

Police Officer Joshua Andrews was born in Illinois and grew up in Tennessee. He joined the United States Army in 1997 and served as an infantryman and Fire Team Leader. Officer Andrews left the service in 2000 to attend college at East Tennessee State University. He was hired by Clayton Police Department in 2008 and since served there as a patrolman and firearms instructor.

On December 6, 2008, the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy was granted Accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation for Public Safety Training Academies and was reaccredited on the same date in 2011.
