The St. Louis County Police Department will host a Citizen Police Academy at Dellwood City Hall, located at 1415 Chambers Rd, Dellwood, Missouri 63135. The classes will be held on eight consecutive Wednesdays, with one field trip, beginning on March 6, 2013, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, with graduation on April 24, 2013.
Chief of Police Timothy Fitch stated, "The Citizens Police Academy creates the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with the officers who serve and protect your community. Participants learn about what steps they can take to avoid becoming the victim of a crime and they get an inside look at how the County Police Department operates. Classes are instructed by law enforcement professionals in various fields."
The Citizens Police Academy is open to all St. Louis County residents and is free of charge. Advanced registration is required and seating is limited. To obtain a registration form or other details, contact St. Louis County Police Officer Christine Romo at
