Charges Issued on 39 Year Old Man for Assault First Degree on Police Officers

On Thursday, February 13, 2014, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued charges on Brothel George, 39 years of age, of the 9200 block of Hathaway, St. Louis, Missouri 63136, for three counts of Assault in the First Degree on a Law Enforcement Officer, three counts of Armed Criminal Action, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, one count of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and one count of Resisting Arrest. George is currently being held on a $250,000 cash only bond. A photo of George is attached.

On Wednesday, February 12, 2014, Detectives from the St. Louis County Police Bureau of Drug Enforcement were conducting an investigation in the 9200 block of Hathaway in Jennings. Upon attempting to place George under arrest for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, George produced a handgun and pointed it at the Detectives. Fearing for their lives, Detectives fired their weapons, striking George. George was then taken into custody and transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. George is currently in stable condition. St. Louis County Police Detectives were not injured during this incident.
