The Pavilion at Lemay Reopening - June 15.

We are happy to announce that the indoor portion of The Pavilion at Lemay will be reopening on June 15. We are excited to welcome everyone back. Due to the current COVID-19 environment and the guidelines set forth by the St Louis Department of Public Health we will be operating a little different than you are used to. For the health and safety of all members and staff, the following rules will be enforced while on the premises. If any rules are broken, Management has the right to ask the guest to leave without a refund.


The Pavilion at Lemay is a 42,000 square foot recreation center is located inside Jefferson Barracks park. It features an indoor track, fitness area, multipurpose gymnasium, meetings rooms and a child care area. The park offers reservable shelters and picnic areas, historic museums, trails, wedding sites, a cross country course, a disc golf course, an archery range and athletic fields.

Indoor Facility:
Monday - Thursday: 6:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Saturday: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Sunday: Noon - 6 p.m.

Indoor Operating Procedures due to COVID-19 Guidelines:

No one will be admitted into the facility if they are sick or if any of the following signs or symptoms were present with in the past 72 hours:

  • Temperature is or greater than 100.4 degrees F or 38C.
  • Coughing or shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Chills/Muscle pain
  • Headache/Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Close contact with persons with any of the above symptoms or known COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

Members & guests must have their temperature taken by a staff member before using the facility.

Cloth face masks are required at all times EXCEPT when engaged in exercise.

Please come dressed for your activity. Use restrooms on the main floor– showers are NOT available. Bring your own water bottle.

Everyone is required to wipe down all equipment used in the fitness area with the provided disinfecting wipes.

Everyone MUST practice social distancing of at least 6ft. AT ALL TIMES when in the building.

Follow the marked designated Entry/Exit and walkway directions to ensure social distancing.

Tot Care is not available at this time.

Open Play Basketball; Mah Jongg are not available at this time.

Fitness classes will be held but with restrictions. Speak to the instructor regarding restrictions.

There will be no lost and found.

Contact Gateway Dance for their schedule and procedures.

Spectators/Parents must wait in their vehicles if their child or household member is engaged in activity.

Everyone who enters the facility MUST register at the Front Desk and provide their name, address, phone number and date/time they visit the facility.

Fitness Room & Gymnasium
The fitness area features a wide variety of strength and cardio training equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes, free weights, weight benches, BOSU balls and a group training system.

The Bud Schertel MAC is a multi-purpose gymnasium that offers basketball courts, volleyball nets and built-in soccer goals. The gym is also available to rent for events or team practices.

Group & Individual Personal Training
The Pavilion offers personal training for both groups and individuals. Workouts are customized for each client and their fitness goals. For an appointment, call Erick Hahn, our Certified Personal Trainer, at (314) 498-3518.

Fitness Center Orientation
The Pavilion at Lemay wants you to have an enjoyable, safe and effective workout and utilize the facility to its fullest potential.

One hour fitness orientations are available for those interested in learning how to operate the fitness equipment and to answer any questions you may have regarding the equipment. Cost is free for members, $7 for non-members. For an appointment, call Erick Hahn, our Certified Personal Trainer, at (314) 498-3518.

Indoor Track Programs
Family Time:
Guests of all ages can utilize the track together (including strollers).
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 10 - 11 a.m.
Tuesday/Thursday: 7 - 8 p.m.
FREE for Members – Day Pass admission for Non-members

Free Indoor Walking
Enjoy the track as part of St. Louis County's "Aging in Place" initiative!
Monday - Friday: 9 - 10 a.m. Please sign in at the Front Desk.

Open Play Pickleball
Pickleball will be available by reservation only. Two courts will be available with the curtain down. Only 8 people will be permitted on each court per session. We will provide 4 chairs on each sideline of the court spaced 6ft apart for waiting/resting time. Chairs will be sanitized after each session. You must bring your own ball and paddle. Fee is $3/person and FREE for Members. Please call 314-615-8877 to reserve your spot.

Meeting & Event Room Rental - Ask about current COVID-19 Restrictions
The Pavilion at Lemay has rental spaces of all shapes and sizes for groups of 10 to several hundred. Stop by to check out the meeting rooms, gymnasium or outdoor balcony.

Tot Care - CURRENTLY CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19
Our Tot Care area is available for parents who are working out in the facility. This service is free with an annual membership or $2/child/visit for non-members. There is a limit of 2 hours per visit. Parents must remain in the facility.

Pool Operating Procedures due to COVID-19 Guidelines:

The will be NO REFUNDS or RAIN CHECKS for any reason.

Concessions ARE NOT available. No outside food or beverage is allowed. You are allowed to bring in your own sealed water bottle. Glass is NOT allowed.

You must bring in your own chair.

Face coverings must be worn at all times except when in the water. Children under 2yrs are exempt.

All patrons must practice social distancing and stay at least 6ft away from people not in their household at all times – even in the water. Parents are responsible for enforcing the social distance requirement with their children.

The Lazy River will be open, but inflatable tubes will not be allowed.

The Kiddie Play Castle is CLOSED. The Rock Wall and Water Slide are CLOSED. Diving boards are OPEN.

Children 12 & under must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18yrs+). Required supervision ratio is 1 adult to no more than 4 children.

All flotation devices must be US Coast Guard approved. No water wings or noodles allowed. Puddle Jumpers are recommended and we will NOT have any available for loan.

Secure all valuables in your car – limited number of lockers available. Bring your own locks.
