The 42,000 square foot recreation center is located inside Jefferson Barracks park. It features an indoor track, fitness area, multipurpose gymnasium, meetings rooms and a child care area. The park offers reservable shelters and picnic areas, historic museums, trails, wedding sites, a cross country course, a disc golf course, an archery range and athletic fields.

Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Sunday: Noon - 6 p.m.

Fitness Room & Gymnasium
The fitness area features a wide variety of strength and cardio training equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, recumbent bikes, free weights, weight benches, BOSU balls and a group training system.

The Bud Schertel MAC is a multi-purpose gymnasium that offers basketball courts, volleyball nets and built-in soccer goals. The gym is also available to rent for events or team practices. Open gym is available each weekday from 3 - 5 p.m. Open gym is also available during other times as space allows when the MAC is not rented.

Group & Individual Personal Training

We offer personal training for both groups and individuals. Workouts are customized for each client and their fitness goals. For an appointment, call (314) 615-8877.

Fitness Center Orientation
The Pavilion at Lemay wants you to have an enjoyable, safe and effective workout and utilize the facility to its fullest potential.
One hour fitness orientations are available for those interested in learning how to operate the fitness equipment and to answer any
questions you may have. Cost is free for members, $7 for non-members. Please call (314) 615-8877 to schedule an appointment.

Open Gym
Open gym is available each weekday from 3 - 5 p.m. Open gym is also available during other times as space allows when the MAC is not rented.

Open Play Pickleball
October 30 - December 22
Monday / Wednesday / Friday: 10 a.m. - Noon
Cost is $2/person (equipment is provided)

Meeting & Event Room Rental
The Pavilion at Lemay has rental spaces of all shapes and sizes for groups of 10 to several hundred. Stop by to check out the meeting rooms, gymnasium or outdoor balcony. 

Indoor Track Programs
Family Time:
Guests of all ages can utilize the track together (including strollers).
Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 10 - 11 a.m.
Tuesday/Thursday: 7 - 8 p.m.

Free Indoor Walking
Enjoy the track as part of St. Louis County's "Aging in Place" initiative!
Monday - Friday: 9 - 10 a.m.

Tot Care
Our Tot Care area is available for parents who are working out in the facility. This service is free with an annual membership or $2/child/visit for non-members. There is a limit of 2 hours per visit. Parents must remain in the facility.
Monday - Saturday: 8 a.m. - Noon
Monday - Thursday: 4 - 8 p.m.

How to Enjoy The Pavilion

Take a Tour anytime that the facility is open. After the tour, guests can enjoy a free pass to try out the indoor facility for a day.  Tour passes are not available for the outdoor pool.

Memberships are available for a full year (outdoor pool included for free) or for the outdoor pool only (summer).

Daily Rates are available to drop in and enjoy the facility for the day.  The Pavilion at Lemay is open to EVERYONE, not just residents of a certain area.

Facility Rentals are available for groups from small gatherings to large trivia nights and wedding receptions.  Rooms book 12 months in advance for events like wedding/baby showers, birthday/graduation parties, sports practices and business presentations.

Programs like fitness classes, storytelling, martial arts, learn to play sports and many other options are available throughout the year.

 


Aquatic Center
Our aquatic center features a deep water pool with slide, diving board, diving platform and climbing wall; lap lanes; a wet deck area, lazy river and a tot area with play structure. There is also a party room, locker rooms and a concession stand.

$4.00 per person (4-12)
$5.00 per person (13-64)
$4.00 per person (65+)
Ages 3 years old and younger are free with a paying adult patron age 18 and over.

Lap Swimming:
Each weeknight evening the lap lanes are open from 5 - 7:30 p.m. (May 30 - August 15). Swimmers must be proficient and actively swimming laps. Pool admission applies

River Walking:

For anyone that would like to utilize the lazy river for walking against the current. This is held at the same time as Terrific Tadpoles, Monday-Friday, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. (May 30 - August 15). Admission to public swim is not included in this program. Everyone must clear the pool deck by 11:45 a.m. This is free for members, non-members are $2. 

Terrific Tadpoles:
Preschool playtime for parents/guardians with children 5 and under. Held Monday-Friday, 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. (May 30 - August 15). Admission to public swim is not included in this program. Everyone must clear the pool deck by 11:45 a.m. This is free for members and adults, non-members and children are $2. 

Fun Fridays
Join us every Friday evening down by the pools for various activities, sporting games and pop up splash competitions. Staff members will provide a basketball hoop, volleyball net or pick a special activity to be played in a group setting. Games and activities are subject to change and/or by request. Swimming Lessons:
The Pavilion at Lemay’s Learn-to-Swim lesson program covers not only basic water safety and proficiency in the water, but also teaches
the four competitive strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. It is the perfect lesson program for anyone who wants to
be safe around the water and/or has the desire to swim competitively in the future. Lessons are for swimmers age 3 years and older and
have a class size of one instructor to up to five swimmers. Please register by the Wednesday before each week of lessons begin. For any questions, please call (314) 615-8862 or email bolson@stlouisco.com. Cost is $40/child/session.

  * The restrooms at Lemay Park are closed for repair. Port-a-potties are in place. Shelter reservations are still available.

*Riverside trail at Simpson is open, however there is a 50 ft. section at the eastern most end that had to be re-routed and the footing is sand and dirt. Also, users should be cautious of sand smears across trail after rain events.

* Unger Park is open to the shelter parking lot, but the trail is closed beyond the riverside parking lot

* Sherman Beach and Al Foster trails are passable but have areas with sand and debris on them

* The Bottomland Trail along Grant's Trail was severely damaged during periods of heavy rain. For safety reasons, this short trail has been closed. Plans are being developed to relocate the trail away from Gravois Creek.

* The east side of Cliff Cave Road including the field, River Bluff trail and Spring Valley trail are closed at Cliff Cave Park for Construction.
