This is an incredible opportunity to hike and camp while letting someone else do the cooking! The hike will start from White-Tail Deer Shelter in Lone Elk Park. Your camping equipment will be transported to West Tyson Park. All you need on the trail is a day pack and water. The 7-mile trail follows the Meramec River past rich bottomland forest, prairie, bluffs and the rugged hills of West Tyson Park. At the campsite you will enjoy dinner, an overnight camp and a morning breakfast prepared over an open fire. Afterward, you will hike back to your vehicle at Lone Elk. Dress for the weather. Participants will encounter steep, rocky trails. Advanced registration required by calling (314) 615-8822.
