50 Arch Coal employee volunteers and 9 St. Louis County Parks Master Gardener and gardening volunteers celebrated National Arbor Day Friday, April 27, 2012 at Queeny Park by planting trees and doing other gardening chores. Arch Coal provided $1,500 in funding for the plantings as well as bbq lunch for volunteers and Parks staff involved in the project. St. Louis County Parks Horticulturalist Doug Wolter coordinated the project with Arch Coal’s Margi Pennington. This was the third consecutive year that Arch Coal provided employee volunteers, funds and lunch at Queeny Park for Arbor Day!
