Ordinances   How To Use The Council Archive Search Tool
 
  • The search tool allows you to search for and retrieve official records of the County Council.
  • Ordinances enacted after April, 1988 are available.
  • Other documents are available beginning in 1992.
  • The search tool is based on key words. If you are looking for a particular topic, use the topic name to search.
  • For zoning petitions, the petition number enclosed in parenthesis, or the petitioners' name are the best search keys.
             
Codes & Ordinances Search   Archive Search
  • County Codes and Ordinances are available through two different tools.
    • The Revised Ordinances site provides the complete County Code in chapter and section sequence, with updates twice per year.
    • The County Council Archive Search provides a search tool for ordinances, agendas, journals and resolutions from 1988 to the present. It is updated at the end of the week following each County Council Meeting.

  • Ordinances are laws adopted by the County Council and signed by the County Executive. They are updated on the archive the week following the Council meeting and after being signed by the County Executive. Current Ordinances are posted here.

 

  • Resolutions are formal statements expressing the will of the County Council that do not have the force of law.They are updated on the archive the week following the Council meeting. Resolutions are posted here.
