Collection Division

The Collector of Revenue serves as the billing, collecting and disbursing agent for more than 300 taxing authorities in Saint Louis County.

The Collector's office efficiently manages this complex and overlapping taxing environment by offering a centralized process to expedite the receipt and distribution of over $1.8 billion annually for:

Personal Property Taxes
Real Estate Property Taxes
Railroad and Utility Taxes
Merchant's and Manufacturer's License Fees

Each taxing authority provides their individual tax rates to the Collector of Revenue, who combines those rates into individual tax bills.
