In order to expedite your entrance into the courthouse, please be aware that you must pass through a metal detector at the security checkpoint. It is very similar to airport security checkpoints in that you will be required to place any hand carried items (i.e., purses, briefcases, packages, lunch boxes, etc.) on the black conveyor belt of an x-ray machine. All metal items, including jewelry and anything in pockets such as keys, change, cigarette packs, foil wrapped items, wallets, cell phones, should be placed into a plastic container available at the checkpoint.

NO WEAPONS OR SHARP ITEMS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE COURTS BUILDING OR THE JUSTICE CENTER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MACE, POCKET KNIVES OF ANY LENGTH, SCISSORS OF ANY KIND (INCLUDING CUTICLE SCISSORS, METAL NAIL FILES, SEWING SCISSORS, KNITTING NEEDLES, ETC.), ANY UNAUTHORIZED TOOLS, OR ANY OTHER ITEM THAT COULD BE USED AS A WEAPON. DO NOT BRING SUCH ITEMS AS THERE ARE NO STORAGE FACILITIES. ALSO CAMERAS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
When you clear security, stay on the Street Level and walk around to your right, down the corridor to the Jury Room. This procedure must be repeated every time you leave the secure area and return.

Jurors can park for free in the Shaw Park Drive Garage and Transit Center at 232 S. Meramec (maximum height for vehicles is 8'4" on level 1 and 7'4" on levels 2 and above). If you want to ride MetroLink, the Clayton station is also located at this garage. The Courts Building is located one block north of the garage at
105 South Central Avenue.
If you drive, BRING YOUR PARKING GARAGE TICKET WITH YOU to the Jury Assembly Room. When you reach the Jury Assembly Room on Street Level, follow the staff's instructions to check in. Each day you return after that, you must come to the Street Level between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to have a parking stamp placed on your ticket. If you are running late, DO NOT PARK AT A METER. Park your car in the garage listed and check in at the counter when you arrive at the Jury Room on Street Level. If you take your car out of the garage during lunch, you will have to pay any additional parking fee.
Only those who are disabled and have a disability hang tag or plate from the Department of Revenue can park in the Courts Building garage (parking is free - no ticket will be received in this garage). CALL 615-2669 AND PRESS 0 WHEN THE RECORDING STARTS NO LATER THAN THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE WEEK YOU ARE TO SERVE. LET US KNOW THAT YOU NEED DISABLED PARKING. Then when you arrive, go to the garage entrance on Meramec Avenue between Bonhomme and Carondelet. Pull up to the gate and tell the attendant that you are a disabled juror. ALL ACCESSIBLE PARKING IS LOCATED ON THE LEVEL YOU PULL INTO (P3 - Green). The doors to the elevator lobby are locked so an attendant must let you in. Take the elevator to the street level. If you do not call in before you arrive but are disabled, follow the instructions above and give your name to the attendant to add to the list.
Food is not available for purchase in the building. There are soda, coffee, and snack vending machines in The Jury Room. You can also bring your lunch and/or snacks but refrigeration is not available in most locations. You may also bring reading material and audio devices with headphones. Your personal items must be kept with you at all times.
During inclement weather, listen to KMOX Newstalk 1120 or watch channels 2, 4, or 5 for closings.
