GENERAL DIVISION INFORMATION FOR DIVISION 42

  • Be on time. If you anticipate being late for court contact the Division 42 clerk at (314)     615-1542 either the day before court or no later than 8:30 a.m. on the morning of court.

  • Courtesy to court staff, litigants and attorneys is the order of the day.

  • Bulk Filers should adhere to the Bulk Filer Guidelines.

  • Consult with opposing counsel regarding availability before requesting a continuance or     setting matters for trial with the court.

  • A memo is required for each file indicating the disposition of the matter before the court.

  • Discovery disputes should be presented to the court expeditiously.

  • A written request for a long trial setting should be accompanied by exclusionary dates of     the attorneys of record or the Pro Se litigant (if you represent yourself).

  • A Pro Se litigant's request for a continuance from their first court appearance must be     presented in person to the Division 42 docket clerk in Room 218. A continuance request     based on medical, travel or employment reasons must be accompanied by     documentation.

  • Information regarding the status of your case may be obtained at Case.net.

  • Inquiries regarding non-jury associate civil cases should be directed to the docket clerk
        at (314) 615-8435 for Monday and Thursday cases and to the docket clerk at (314) 615-    8044 for Wednesday cases.

  • Inquiries regarding BAC cases, equity cases and all jury cases should be directed to the     division clerk at (314) 615-1542.

  • Pro Se litigants may contact the Lawyer Referral and Information Service at
        (314) 421-4134 or the Volunteer Lawyer Program at (314) 534-4200 for assistance in     finding an attorney.
