The Honorable Richard C. Bresnahan
Circuit Judge, Division 18

Judge Bresnahan was appointed Circuit Judge on June 4, 2004.

Judge Bresnahan received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of Missouri at St. Louis and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia.

Judge Bresnahan actively practiced law for thirty-one years prior to his appointment to the bench. He also served as the Municipal Judge in the City of Town and Country and was the City Attorney for Ferguson, Edmundson and Lakeshire.

Judge Bresnahan was the President of the St. Louis County Bar Association in the year 1992 and received it's Distinguished Service Award for 2002. He currently serves on the Missouri Bar Board of Governors.

Judge Bresnahan and his wife reside in St. Louis County. They have two children.
