Judge Seigel was appointed circuit judge on August 23, 1994.

Judge Seigel received a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Washington University in St. Louis.

Prior to his appointment as circuit judge for the 21st Circuit Court, Judge Seigel was engaged in private practice from 1970 until 1994.

He is a member of the Missouri Bar, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the St. Louis County Bar Association.
