Judge DePriest was appointed circuit judge in June 2000.

Judge DePriest received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Southeast Missouri State University. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

From 1969 through 1971, Judge DePriest served in the United States Army. Judge DePriest was an assistant prosecuting attorney in St. Louis County from 1975 until 2000. He served as chief warrant officer for twenty-two years and was a senior member of the trial staff with the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney.

Judge DePriest is an avid sports fan. He enjoys Mizzou football and basketball, as well as the St. Louis Rams, Blues and Cardinals.

Judge DePriest resides in South St. Louis County. Judge DePriest has one child.
