Commissioner Coon was appointed deputy commissioner of the Probate Court on July 1, 1991.

Commissioner Coon received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from St. Louis University.

Commissioner Coon and her husband reside in St. Louis County. They have two children.
