The Honorable Robert C. Weis
Probate Commissioner

Commissioner Weis was appointed commissioner of the Probate Division in February 1999.

Commissioner Weis received his undergraduate degree and his Juris Doctorate degree from St. Louis University.

Commissioner Weis served on the legal staff of the St. Louis County Probate Court and was in private practice, specializing in probate law and estate planning. Prior to his appointment to the bench, he served as St. Louis County Public Administrator for thirteen years.

Commissioner Weis is active in various bar associations, mainly in the estate planning and probate law areas. Commissioner Weis enjoys volunteering as a speaker to small, informal groups about estate planning and probate issues.

Commissioner Weis is an avid basketball fan and also enjoys baseball, golf, history and traveling.
