Better Family Life

Better Family Life provides services for adults ages 18 and older who reside in St. Louis County. Services provided for adults are job readiness training, job placement, financial literacy, parenting classes, computer education and retention services. Services provided for youth are GED preparation, parenting classes, financial literacy, job coaching and job readiness training.

International Institute of Metropolitan St. Louis

International Institute of Metropolitan St. Louis provides services for immigrants and refugees. A few of the services that they provided are career planning, citizenship preparation, community mediation training, financial literacy, GED prep, job placement services, refugee resettlement, translation/interpretation, voter registration and small business development.

MERS/Goodwill

MERS/Goodwill provides employment and training services for individuals receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) in St. Louis County and St. Charles County. MERS/Goodwill manages the Career Assistance Program (CAP) that is designed to assist individuals with career exploration, job search activities, training, full time employment and supportive services.

St. Louis Community College

St. Louis Community College provides services for both the Dislocated Worker and Adult clients. Both the Dislocated Worker and Adult Services provide assessment, career counseling, job placement, and retention services. St. Louis Community College also provides a service to individual and companies at the time of a lay off, company closing, or down sizing.

Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis

The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis provides services to youth ages 14-21. The program provides linkages between academic and occupation learning, connection to the job market and area employers. A few of the services they provide are career exploration, tutoring, mentoring, job readiness training, supportive services, GED classes, job placement, vocational training and job fair coaching.
