Chronic Disease Primary Prevention

Chronic diseases are the leading causes of death and disability in Missouri, resulting in unnecessary economic burden and human suffering. The Chronic Disease Primary Prevention program (CDPP) will build County capacity to reduce three primary risk factors for developing chronic diseases: tobacco use, physical inactivity and unhealthy eating. The focus of the program is to implement evidence-based approaches for local environmental, policy and system changes to achieve the program goal.
