The Honorable Robert S. Adler
Judge Robert S. Adler, was appointed in 1992 by St. Louis County Executive George R. (Buzz)
Westfall, to serve as Municipal Division Judge of the St. Louis County Municipal Court, South
Division.
Judge Adler received his B.S. degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting,
from the University of Missouri (Columbia, Missouri) and his J.D. from the University of Missouri
School of Law (Kansas City, Missouri). Judge Adler was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1974. From
1975 to 1978, he served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for St. Louis County, MO.
Judge Adler is a principal of Rothman, Sokol, Adler & Sarachan, P.C. and has been with the firm since 1980. His practice has been focused on a broad range of litigation, including representation for administrative, securities arbitration, commercial, business, real estate, zoning, general civil, professional licensing, criminal and family law cases. From 1983 to 1991, Judge Adler served as the City Attorney for the City of Fenton, MO.
Judge Adler is a member of the Board of Directors of the Missouri Municipal & Associate Circuit Judges' Association. He has been a lecturer on various litigation related topics, including criminal law and the law relating to DWI's and administrative revocations. Judge Adler has authored a number of professional works including: Missouri Criminal Procedure - Statements of a Defendant and Missouri Municipal Review - The Law of Redistricting and Some Practical Tips.
