Property Conservation Districts Superceded by Expansion of Occupancy Permit Requirements

Recent St. Louis County legislation extending residential re-occupancy permit requirements to all owner-occupied as well as renter-occupied dwelling units in unincorporated St. Louis County will supercede the Property Conservation District program as of July 1, 2007. Inspection and occupancy permit requirements that previously applied only in designated Property Conservation Districts will now apply to all of unincorporated St. Louis County.

In addition, recent revisions to the Waste Management Code that call for the establishment of trash collection districts will address the trash collection concerns that are referred to in provisions of the Property Conservation District ordinance.
