Captain Ken Cox was born and raised in South St. Louis County, and currently resides in the Oakville area with his wife and two children. Captain Cox is the Precinct Commander of the South County Precinct for the St. Louis County Police Department.

In this position, he is responsible for the delivery of police services to the unincorporated residents within the boundaries of the South County Precinct as well as police services provided to the City of Bella Villa.

Captain Cox began his career with the St. Louis County Police Department on February 23, 1987, when he was hired as a police officer and assigned to the Affton Southwest Precinct. In 1989, he was assigned to the Division of Criminal Investigation, where he worked in the Bureau of Drug Enforcement. He was also assigned to the Street Enforcement Team, Mobil Response Team, Tactical Operations Unit, and the Bureau of Crimes Against Persons.

In 1995, Captain Cox was promoted to the rank of sergeant and assigned to the South County Precinct. He also served as a supervisor in the Auto Crimes Unit, Bureau of Drug Enforcement's Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, and the Staff Inspections Unit. In 1998, Captain Cox was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and assigned to the Affton Southwest Precinct. He was then assigned to the Office of the Chief, where he worked as Commander of the Municipal Services Unit. Captain Cox was appointed to the rank of Captain in 2002 and assigned to the newly formed Central County Precinct.

Captain Cox attended the University of Missouri - St. Louis where he received a Bachelors Degree in Criminology. While assigned to the Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, Captain Cox was elected Eastern Director of the Missouri Narcotics Officers Association. He is also the Department liaison for the Citizens' Police Academy Alumni Association.

Captain Cox's hobbies include hunting, fishing and training his German Shepherd for Schutzhund competition. He is also a member of Queen of All Saints Church in South St. Louis County.

Lieutenant Michael Mowery is a 28-year police veteran who is currently assigned to the South County Precinct as a Watch Commander and Oakville sector Commander. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration of Justice from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and resides in west St. Louis County.

Lieutenant Mowery has served as the Valley Park detail Commander, as well as having been assigned as a supervisor in the City of Fenton Precinct. He has been a Sergeant in the Office of the Chief of Police and an Administrative Aide to the Division Commander in the Patrol office as a police officer. He was a Detective in the Intelligence Unit under the Chief's Office prior to being promoted to Sergeant.

Lieutenant Ostendorf is a 29-year veteran of the St. Louis County Police Department. During his tenure, he has been assigned to the Division of Patrol in the Affton Southwest and South County Precincts. He spent a total of 17 years in the Division of Criminal Investigation, Bureau of Crimes Against Persons; 12 years as an investigator and 5 as a supervisor.

Lieutenant Ostendorf was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 1995 and Lieutenant in 2001. He is currently assigned as the Midnight Watch Commander in the South County Precinct.

Lieutenant Ostendorf is married and has 3 children. His wife is also a member of the department; a Sergeant assigned to the Saint Louis County and Municipal Police Academy. Lieutenant Ostendorf has an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He is a founding member of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., and a supporting member of the Backstoppers Organization. He has two Commendations from the Chief of Police, numerous Divisional Awards of Excellence and several letters of appreciation from the community.

In his off time, Lieutenant Ostendorf enjoys auto mechanics, carpentry, landscaping and rafting. He is a life-long resident of South County, where he currently resides with his family.

Officer Chad Louis was raised in South St. Louis County, where he currently resides with his wife and three children. Officer Louis began his career with the St. Louis County Police Department in 1998 when he was assigned to the West County Precinct. He served as a patrol officer within the precinct. While in the West County Precinct Officer Louis was assigned to the City of Hanley Hills until he was reassigned as a Neighborhood Police Officer (NPO) for the city of Valley Park. Officer Louis worked in the city of Valley Park until January 2007 when he was reassigned to the South County Precinct as an NPO.

During his service as an NPO, Officer Louis has served as a member of the Department's Neighborhood Policing Committee, Chief's Committee, Explorer Post Advisor, Precinct Neighborhood Watch and National Night out Coordinator. Officer Louis also works with the South Chapter of the St. Louis County Police Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association.

Officer Louis graduated from St. Mary's High school in 1994, has earned an Associates Degree from St. Louis Community College and a Bachelors of Arts Degree from Lindenwold University in 2003. During his career he has received numerous letters of appreciation and Department awards. In 2001, Officer Louis received the Department's Distinguished Service Citation and the Metal of Valor.

Officer Mike Schira was born and raised in South St. Louis County, where he currently resides with his wife and son. Officer Schira had four years prior police experience before beginning his career with the St. Louis County Police Department in 2001. Officer Schira is currently assigned to the South County Precinct. He served as a patrol officer within the precinct. While in the South County Precinct, Officer Schira was reassigned as a Neighborhood Police Officer (NPO) for the Lemay Sector.

During his service as an NPO, Officer Schira has served as a member of the Department's Neighborhood Policing Committee, Precinct Neighborhood Watch and National Night Out coordinator. Officer Schira also works with Project Lemay, Neighborhood Preservation Strategy Committee and the South Chapter of the St. Louis County Police Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association.

Officer Schira graduated from Hancock High School in 1992 and has earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from St. Louis Community College. During his career Officer Schira has received numerous letters of appreciation and Department awards.

Officer Dan Schroeder was born and raised in St. Louis and now resides in the South County area with his wife. Officer Schroeder graduated from CBC High School in 1992 where he went on to attend Southwest Missouri State University majoring in Business. Officer Schroeder is currently assigned to the South County Precinct as the Neighborhood Police Officer for the Oakville sector.

Officer Schroeder has over ten years of law enforcement experience, five of which have been with the St. Louis County Police Department. During those five years he has been assigned to the South County Precinct. For the past two years Officer Schroeder has served as the Business Resource Officer at South County Mall, where he helped form working partnerships between businesses and the police department.

During his career he has earned numerous awards, commendations and letters of appreciation. When not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife riding their horses.
