Captain George Corless is a lifelong resident of West St. Louis County and currently resides in the City of Wildwood. Captain Corless is currently assigned to the West County Precinct where he is the Precinct Commander. In this position he oversees all uniformed police activities in the unincorporated areas of West St. Louis County, in addition to the contract municipalities of Valley Park, Winchester, Twin Oaks and Clarkson Valley. He works closely with mayors, aldermen, neighborhood groups, St. Louis County Government officials, school administrators, business and religious leaders and neighboring police departments in a sense of cooperation to reduce crime and create a better quality of life for our citizens. Captain Corless is a member of the West County and Fenton Chambers of Commerce.

Captain Corless serves in a number of different capacities for the County Police Department including co-chair of the organizing committee of the Safe Schools Partnership, and is a past president of the St. Louis County Police Welfare Association. He is an active volunteer for our annual golf tournament, which is a major contributor to the Welfare Association.

After serving four years in the U.S. Air Force, Captain Corless began his career with the St. Louis County Police Department as a police officer in 1973 assigned to the West County Precinct. In August 1980, he became a member of the Tactical Operations Unit where he served as a hostage negotiator. He was promoted to Sergeant in August 1981 and served in the Affton Southwest and West County Precincts. He was then promoted to Lieutenant in May 1984 and served in the North County Precinct, Bureau of Special Investigation and the Bureau of Professional Responsibility. In June 1992, he was selected to attend the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. In February 1998, he was promoted to Captain and assigned to the West County Precinct where he still serves.

Captain Corless received Masters Degrees in Management and Administration of Justice from Webster University in 1979. During his military service, he received several awards and ribbons. He is a trained hostage negotiator and a member of the FBI National Academy Associates. He enjoys reading, sports and is a close follower of Ole Miss football.

Lieutenant Scott Melies was raised in South St. Louis County and currently resides in the Oakville area. Lieutenant Melies is assigned to the West County Precinct where he is responsible for the day-to-day operation of police services to the City of Valley Park.

Lieutenant Melies began his career in the South County Precinct in 1980 as a patrolman. He also served in the Tactical Operations Unit before his promotion to Sergeant in 1995. As a Sergeant, he served as a Watch Supervisor in the Affton Southwest and West County Precincts before being selected to run the newly formed City of Valley Park Detail in 1998. In 1999 he was promoted to Lieutenant. As a Lieutenant he has served in the South and West County Precincts.

Lieutenant Melies holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management from Tarkio College. He is the recipient of numerous letters of appreciation and Awards of Excellence and two Chiefs Commendations. He is a member of the International Police Mountain Bike Association and the International Christian Cycling Club. His hobbies include amateur road and mountain bicycle racing along with several other outdoor activities.

Lieutenant Molla was born in East St. Louis, Illinois and currently resides in the Central part of unincorporated St. Louis County with his wife.

Lieutenant Charles Molla began his career in 1977 and is currently assigned as a Watch Commander in the Central County Precinct. His first 16 years of service were spent in the Division of Patrol assigned to the Central, West and North County Precincts. In 1981 he was assigned to the Bureau of Communications assisting in the implementation of the first Computer Aided Dispatching System, reducing overall police response time to calls for service.

From 1993-1998 Lieutenant Molla was a Detective assigned to the Bureau of Crimes Against Person. Promoted to Sergeant in 1998 he served as a supervisor in the North County Precinct and the Auto Theft Unit in the Bureau of Crimes Against Property for five years. He was promoted to Lieutenant in 2003 and served as a Watch Commander in the West County Precinct.

Lieutenant Molla has an Associates Degree in Law Enforcement from Belleville Area College and Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University. He has received four commendations from the Chief of Police, several Awards of Excellence and letters of appreciation.

Lieutenant Mike Reifschneider is a supervisor in theWest County Precinct in the Division of Patrol. He has been assigned to the West County Precinct since his promotion in 2009. He began his career in 1984 where he attended the Greater St. Louis Police Academy in the City of St. Louis. As a patrol officer he worked in the North County and West County Precincts. He has worked in the capacity of a Crime Scene Investigator and is an Accident Reconstructionist. He has served in the Division of Criminal Investigations as a detective in the Crimes Against Persons Family Crime Unit as a child abuse investigator. In 2001, he was promoted to Sergeant and assigned to the North County Precinct. Lieutenant Reifschneider has also been a supervisor in the Fenton Precinct.

Lieutenant Reifschneider is involved with the Department's Special Olympics program. This program is a major source of revenue for Special Olympics, which allows citizens with special needs to experience the thrill of competing in a variety of sporting events.

Lieutenant Reifschneider has earned a two-year degree from Ranken Technical College in St. Louis. He is a life-long resident of the St. Louis area.

Lieutenant Reifschneider is the son of Officer James Reifschneider, a St. Louis County police officer who was killed in the line of duty on April 30, 1977.

Lt. John Tiernan was born, raised and currently resides in St. Louis County. He is currently a Watch Commander in the West County Precinct.

Lt. Tiernan began his career with the St. Louis County Police Department on January 15. 1978 when he was hired as a police officer to serve in the West County Precinct. He spent over five years in the Bureau of Tactical Operations as the primary negotiator before working as the Aide to the Chief of Police. He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 1988. As a Sergeant he worked in the Division of Patrol in both the West and North County Precincts and in the Division of Criminal Investigation in the Fugitive Affairs Bureau and the General Assignment Unit. He also served as the Assistant Director of the St. Louis County and Municipal Academy and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 1994. He served as a Watch Commander in the Division of Patrol in the North County Precinct for over six years and the West County Precinct for five years and for three years was the Commander of the Bureau of Special Enforcement which included the Highway Safety Team, the Community Action Team and the Police Canine Unit. He was the Co-Chairman of Public Safety for the St. Louis County Fair and Air Show from 2003 through 2007.

Lt. Tiernan holds Bachelor Degrees in Physical Education and Latin from Missouri State University. He also has a Master of Education degree in Physical Education from the University of Arizona. He has received two Commendations from the Chief of Police.

Sergeant Jeff Burk relocated to St. Louis County upon being hired by the St. Louis County Police. He currently resides in west St. Louis County.

Sergeant Burk began his law enforcement career with the Boone County Sheriff's Department in Columbia, MO, in 1984 as a Deputy Sheriff. He began his career with the St. Louis County Police in 1987 in the West County Precinct. He served as a patrol officer in the West County and South County Precincts. Based upon his work performance, he was selected to become a Field Training Instructor to newly appointed officers. In 1998, he was selected to be a Neighborhood Policing Officer in the West County Precinct. In this capacity, Sergeant Burk worked closely with residents concerning neighborhood, subdivision and quality of life issues. In 1999, he was promoted to Sergeant and reassigned to the North County Precinct as a Watch Supervisor. When the Seventh Precinct, West County, was formed in 2003, Sergeant Burk was reassigned to it as a Watch Supervisor. Currently Sergeant Burk supervises Neighborhood Policing Officers, School Resource Officers and officers assigned to Clarkson Valley, Twin Oaks and Winchester in the West County Precinct.

Sergeant Burk has also served in the Division of Criminal Investigation in the Crime Scene Unit as a detective.

Sergeant Burk earned a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1984. He has completed professional training in law enforcement from: University of Missouri-Columbia, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Greater St. Louis Police Academy, and the St. Louis County and Municipal Police Academy.

Sergeant Andy Gambill is a native of the St. Louis Metropolitan area. He spent six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve and was in industrial sales prior to joining the Department. He is married with two children.

He began working for St. Louis County in 1985, and was assigned to the Affton Precinct where he spent 13 years as a patrol officer, the last eight years he was also a Field Training Instructor. In 1998, he was assigned to the Bureau of Crimes Against Person, Domestic Violence Unit where he was a Detective until being promoted in 2002. After being promoted, he was assigned to the South County Precinct for almost two years, when he was reassigned to the Wildwood Precinct. Sergeant Gambill is currently assigned to the West County Precinct.

He has received several Awards of Excellence and letters of appreciation.

In 1996, Sergeant Johnson started her career with the St Louis County Police Department's Bureau of Communication as a 911 Dispatcher. She was later accepted to the academy, becoming a sworn police officer in December of 1998.

As a patrol officer, Sgt Johnson was assigned to the Affton Precinct in South County until January 2000, when she accepted a position as a patrol officer for the City of Winchester located in West County. In 2001, Sergeant Johnson was assigned to the Rockwood School District as a School Resource Officer during the physical school year. During the summer months, she was assigned to patrol in the City of Wildwood.

Sergeant Johnson has served on the Rockwood Alcohol and Drug Free Coalition, Rockwood Safety Committee, and taught the DARE program to her students. She also scheduled and supervised the Wildwood Municipal Court detail along with serving on Wildwood's Community Service program. Sergeant Johnson is now assigned to the West County Precinct as a supervisor.

Sergeant Scott Johnston is a third-generation police officer and a native of St. Louis County. He attended college at Southeast Missouri State University, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Criminal Justice.

He began his career with the St. Louis County Police Department in July of 1980 and over the years has served in the North County, Central County, West County, Affton Southwest, and City of Wildwood precincts. Prior to being promoted to the rank of sergeant in 1998, he served as a homicide detective in the bureau of Crimes Against Persons, and also served as a detective on the St. Louis Major Case Squad for ten years.

Sergeant Johnston is currently assigned as a Watch Supervisor in the West County precinct, where he assists and oversees the uniformed patrol officers of that precinct.

Sergeant Johnston is married and has one daughter. His interests include hunting, fishing and shooting sports.

Sergeant Carl A. Schultz began his career with the St. Louis County Police Department in 1982. After attending the Greater St. Louis Police Academy he served as a Patrol Officer and a Field Training Instructor in the 5th and 2nd Precincts. He was then transferred to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation where he served as a Detective in the Bureau of Special Investigations, Bureau of Drug Enforcement and the Asset Forfeiture Unit.

Sergeant Schultz was promoted to his current rank in 1996. He has served as a Watch Supervisor in the 2nd Precinct, South County Precinct, West County Precinct, Bureau of Communications and the Bureau of Security Services. Sergeant Schultz has also served as the Private Security Coordinator for the department. This position is responsible for the training and licensing of all private security officers and the regulation and licensing of private security companies that conduct business in St. Louis County, Missouri.

Sergeant Schultz is currently assigned to the West County Precinct as a Watch Supervisor. He is the recipient of numerous letters of appreciation and Awards of Excellence. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Management with an emphasis in Business Administration from Webster University.

Sergeant Doug Seewoester was born and raised in St. Louis County where he and his wife currently reside. Sergeant Seewoester is assigned to the West County Precinct. He was previously assigned to the Bureau of Communications. In this position, he is one of five watch supervisors responsible for managing St. Louis County's 911 Communication Center which receives over one million calls a year for service for the St. Louis County Police Department as well as the municipal police departments throughout St. Louis County.

In 1978, Sergeant Seewoester graduated from Northeast Missouri State University (now Truman State University) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and joined the St. Louis County Police Department. After attending the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Academy, he was assigned to the Division of Patrol. In 1981 he was transferred to the Bureau of Crimes against Property where he was assigned to the Burglary Unit. He then returned to the Division of Patrol where he worked in both the Affton and West County precincts. While assigned to the West County Precinct, he helped develop the first Neighborhood Policing Unit in that precinct. In 1997, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and transferred to the North County Precinct where he served as a watch supervisor.

In 1998, Sergeant Seewoester was transferred to the Division of Operational Support, Planning and Analysis Unit and oversaw the staff inspections for the St. Louis County Police Department as required by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (C.A.L.E.A.) In 2002 he was transferred to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation's Crime Scene Unit where he supervised the detectives that process crime scenes for the St. Louis County Police Department, various municipal police agencies and the Major Case Squad.

Sergeant Daniel Steele is a lifelong resident of the St. Louis area and is currently assigned as a Watch Supervisor in the West County Precinct. In this position, he has the responsibility of directing and supervising the uniformed officers who respond to the various radio assignments in the Precinct.

Sergeant Steele began his career with the St. Louis County Police Department in 1980. After attending the Greater St Louis Police Academy in the City of St Louis, he was assigned as a patrol officer in the North County Precinct. In 1988, he was transferred to the West County Precinct and served as a Field Training Instructor for new officers after completion of the Police Academy. In 1997, he was transferred to the Bureau of Professional Responsibility where he was assigned as a Detective investigating complaints against Department employees. During this time he also assisted in the Personnel Services Unit conducting background investigations on prospective new employees. Sergeant Steele was promoted in 1999 and assigned as a Watch Supervisor in the Affton Precinct. He has since served in the City of Fenton Precinct, the City of Wildwood Precinct and the West County Precinct as a Watch Supervisor.

Police Officer Lou Major was born and raised in South St. Louis and currently resides in Eureka, Missouri with his wife. P.O. Major is assigned to the Division of Patrol, West County Precinct.

In this position he serves as a Neighborhood Policing Officer. P.O. Major is responsible for organizing local neighborhood watch groups and coordinates crime prevention presentations and exhibits. His other duties include neighborhood preservation, the planning of Citizen Police Academies, crime analysis and traffic enforcement. He is assigned precinct administrative responsibilities and conducts special assignments as directed by the Precinct Commander.

P.O. Major began his career with the St. Louis County Police on December 28, 1990 when he was hired as a Probationary Officer in the 2nd Precinct. He has served as a Patrol Officer in the Village of Hanley Hills and the 7th Precinct.

P.O. Major has an Associate of Arts degree from Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He has over 20 years of military experience and retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of First Sergeant. Officer Major spends his off time training his three Border Collie dogs for competition at the local and national level. He conducts dog frisbee demonstrations for local youth and school groups.

Police Officer Dustin Poncin was born in Athens, Greece and raised in Falls Church, Virginia. He currently resides in Eureka, Missouri with his wife, daughter and son. Officer Poncin is assigned to the Division of Patrol, West County Precinct.

In this position he serves as a Neighborhood Policing Officer. Officer Poncin is responsible for organizing local neighborhood watch groups and coordinates crime prevention presentations and exhibits. His other duties include neighborhood preservation, the planning of Citizen Police Academies, crime analysis and traffic enforcement. Officer Poncin is the head Advisor for the West County Precinct Explorer Post consisting of thirteen Explorers. He coordinates their training, ride-alongs with other officers, fund raising events, uniform inspections and event scheduling.

Officer Poncin began his career with the St. Louis County Police on January 3, 1997 when he was hired as a Probationary Officer in the Central County Precinct. He has served as a Patrol Officer in the Village of Hanley Hills, the City of Valley Park Detail, the Fenton Detail and the West County Precinct.

Officer Poncin has over seven years of military experience from the United States Navy. His hobbies include most sporting activities. Officer Poncin helps coach all of his children's athletic teams and is very involved in his community.
