    Building Codes and Ordinances

    The following list contains the Building Codes and Ordinances that are enforced by St. Louis County Government in the unincorporated areas of St. Louis County. Also, these same codes and ordinances are enforced in municipalities that contract with St. Louis County for Building Plan Review and Building Inspection Services.

    Building Codes and Ordinances Enforced in St. Louis County:

      Land Disturbance Code, Ordinance #21578 approved October 13, 2003 and amended by Ordinances 22,468 & 24,084 approved September 21, 2005 & August 12, 2009 respectively.

    Also, the Department of Public Works sells the individual Residential ($5.00), Building & Exixting Building ($8.00), Mechanical ($5.00), Electrical ($5.00), Plumbing ($15.00) and Property Maintenance ($5.00) Ordinances at our Clayton location. Copies of the ordinances can be mailed to the requesting individual for an additional charge of $3.00 (postage & handling). Make checks payable to: Treasurer - St. Louis County.
