The following temporary signs are permitted in any zoning district in accordance with the St. Louis County Zoning Ordinance.
- Temporary signs indicating danger.
- Public Notices and Legal Notices required by law.
- Political campaign signs announcing the candidates seeking public political office and other pertinent data. The maximum area for any one sign shall be eight (8) square feet, with a total area of sixteen (16) square feet permitted for each lot or unit. These signs shall be erected only on private property and shall be removed within seven (7) days after the election for which they were made.
- Decorative displays used for holidays during and for a maximum of thirty (30) days before and seven (7) days after the specific holiday.
- Temporary signs and pennants, fringe, lights, sound equipment or similar devices for attracting attention shall be permitted only in conjunction with a grand opening for commercial uses for a period not in excess of thirty (30) days, or with special promotions. The use of such devices for special promotions shall be limited to three (3) such events for each business in a calendar year with a maximum time period of fourteen (14) days for each event.
