The Heat Is On Unsafe Driving on Interstate Highway 44. St. Louis County Police Department Participating in Statewide I-44 Crackdown.

Drivers will see more law enforcement officers on Interstate 44 on October 17, 2009. The St. Louis County Police Department announced today they are joining with law enforcement agencies across Missouri to crack down on unbuckled, speeding and impaired drivers.

The enforcement effort will span the Interstate 44 corridor cracking down on unsafe driving and reminding drivers to be safe out there. "The St. Louis County Police fully support the state's efforts to reduce accidents and save lives," stated Chief Tim Fitch, "We will be out in full force to remind drivers to slow down, buckle up and never drive impaired."
