Two North County Men Charged with Murder

For Immediate Release 29-Oct-2009

On Wednesday, October 28, 2009, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office issued charges on James Grandberry, 18 years of age, of the 4200 block of River Oaks Drive in North St. Louis County, and Lloyd Brown, 18 years of age, of the 3100 block of Santiago for Murder in the Second Degree, Armed Criminal Action and Attempt Robbery in the First Degree. Grandberry and Brown are currently each being held on a $200,000 bond. Photos of Grandberry and Brown are attached and can be viewed online.

On Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at approximately 11:00 PM a St. Louis County Police Officer was on patrol in the Sunswept Apartment Complex at the intersection of Sunswept Park Drive and Springtime Lane when he saw a man collapse on the parking lot. The man had been shot and the officer began first aid. Responding officers saw two men running from the scene and took them into custody. A handgun was retrieved. It is unclear at this time what the relationship between Grandberry and Brown and the victim were. The victim was identified as Devon Green, 20 years of age, from St. Louis, Missouri. The victim passed away at the hospital.
