The following persons have filed as candidates for St. Louis County Council districts 2, 4 and 6, and for township political party central committee seats for the Aug. 5 primary election. The order of candidates below is the order they will appear on the August ballot.
Candidate filings will close on March 25 at 5:00 p.m.
Independent candidates for St. Louis County offices may have their names placed on the November General election ballot by filing petitions, with the required number of signatures, with the St. Louis County Board of Elections. The petition requirements for the office sought may be obtained by calling the Board of Elections at 615-1822.
Office: County Council-2nd District
Salary: $20,000
Filing Fee $50.00
Qualifications Qualified voter and resident of the district for 1 year preceding his/her nomination. St. Louis County resident for 2 years before his/her election.
Office: County Council-4th District
Salary: $20,000
Filing Fee $50.00
Qualifications Qualified voter and resident of the district for 1 year preceding his/her nomination. St. Louis County resident for 2 years before his/her election.
Office: County Council-6th District
Salary: $20,000
Filing Fee $50.00
Qualifications Qualified voter and resident of the district for 1 year preceding his/her nomination. St. Louis County resident for 2 years before his/her election.
Office: Township Committeeperson
Salary: None
Filing Fee: $100.00
Qualifications: A registered voter and resident of the township to be represented for one year prior to election.
Ballot positions for candidates who filed on the first day of filing was determined based on a random number drawing.
Ballot position for candidates who file after the first day of filing will be determined based on filing order.
