Jury - Identity Theft Scam
Other states have reported scams concerning jury service. Someone who represents that they work for the Court calls to tell you that you missed jury service. They then ask for personal information including your social security number. That information is then used for identity theft. Please be advised that no one from the St. Louis County Circuit Court will call any juror to obtain any personal information including your social security number. You may be called to remind you that you have jury service or set another date for you to appear for jury duty at the St. Louis County Courthouse. You will not be asked to provide personal information over the phone. If you receive such a call please report it immediately to your local police department.
