St. Louis County Executive Leads Diaper Drive for Crisis Nursery

St. Louis County employees, under the leadership of the Office of Community Empowerment, have been collecting diapers for a diaper giveaway at Saint Louis Crisis Nursery’s Ferguson location at the Ferguson-Dellwood Community Resource Center at 1435 Stein Road inside of St. Peters United Church. The diapers will be handed out to families that need them on Wednesday, February 15th beginning at 11:30 a.m.

“Crisis Nursery’s Ferguson location helps parents by providing specialized counseling and essential baby products,” County Executive Steve Stenger said. “They are invaluable partners in our efforts to improve and protect the health and safety of our residents.”

Wednesday’s diaper giveaway will be held from 11:30-1:30 p.m. “Events like this connect us with families that need our help,” Crisis Nursery Executive Director Diane Mueller said. “Parents know they can rely on us in times of crisis, whether those situations involve homelessness, poverty, or, simply, those periods of overwhelming stress that go hand-in-hand with raising children. I truly appreciate County Executive Stenger and his Office of Community Empowerment’s continued support of Crisis Nursery.”

St. Louis County is proud to support the great work that Crisis Nursery performs via the County’s Children’s Service Fund. Last year, the Children’s Service Fund provided $1.8 million to help Crisis Nursery serve over 7,200 children.

The Office of Community Empowerment was started by County Executive Stenger to connect County services to those who need them.
