CLAYTON, Mo. - County Executive Steve Stenger appointed a new Parks Director, Revenue Director and County Counselor, all of whom have been confirmed by the County Council.
The Council confirmed Gary Bess as the New Director of the Parks Department. Bess previously served as the Director of Director of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry in the City of St. Louis for 18 years, but has 40 total years of service with city government.
The St. Louis County Council has confirmed Greg Quinn as St. Louis County's director of revenue. Mr. Quinn, a former member of the St. Louis County Council, represented the 7th district for 23 years as a Republican. Mr. Quinn is a graduate of Washington University Law School. He earned a B.A. in economics from Michigan State University.
Peter Krane has been confirmed as County Counselor. In this position, Mr. Krane will be responsible for all legal matters pertaining to St. Louis County. Upon graduation from Washington University Law School in 1982, Mr. Krane served as assistant prosecuting attorney under County Prosecutor Buzz Westfall. He has since worked in both the public and private sectors, most recently with the firm Williams, Venker, and Sanders where he specialized in litigation.
