Judge Daniel Brown received his Jurist Doctorate from the Washington University School of Law in 2006, and his B.S. in English Literature from the Washington University School of Arts and Sciences in 2002. He is also a graduate of Clayton High School.
Following law school, Judge Brown served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Charles A. Shaw, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. As a Law Clerk, he gained valuable experience in the areas of Employment Law, Criminal Law and Corporate Litigation. Prior to serving as a member of Judge Shaw’s chamber staff, Mr. Brown served as Judge Shaw’s judicial intern during his final year of law school.
Prior to entering law school, Daniel’s initial path led him towards a career in journalism. Publications for which he has written include Black Enterprise Magazine, The Sporting News, The St. Louis American and The St. Louis Business Journal.
Judge Brown is now a Partner at the law firm of Smith Brown LLC where he focuses on Civil Litigation and Corporate Representation.
