County Codes and Ordinances Search
County Codes and Ordinances are available through two different tools. The Revised Ordinances site provides the complete County Code in chapter and section sequence, with updates twice per year. The County Council Archive Search provides a search tool for ordinances, agendas, journals and resolutions from 1988 to the present. It is updated at the end of the week following each County Council Meeting. (This link goes to the County Council Site)
Crime Maps
The St. Louis County Missouri Crime Incident Map web site displays crime information overlaid on a map of the region. Users may zoom into any area serviced by St. Louis County Police, or those departments that provide crime data to the County PD, and see where crimes have been reported.
Crisis Intervention Team (CIT)
The St. Louis Area Crisis Intervention Team (CIT Coordinating Council) delivers positive law enforcement crisis intervention service to people with mental illness in the St. Louis area. It does so through cooperative community partnerships of law enforcement, mental health service providers, consumers, families, and advocates, and by offering coordinating and enhancing services to people with mental illness and/or substance abuse problems through law enforcement-based Crisis Intervention Teams.
Emergency Communications Commission (ECC)
The ECC was created for the purpose of administering an emergency communication system including an interoperable county-wide wireless radio communication network providing communications links that permit participating governmental entities to communicate within the geographic boundaries of the county. This includes the radio system, the emergency alert system and the enhancements to the 911 system.
Emergency Management
The Office of Emergency Management works in concert with Missouri's State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and with many public and private sector planning commissions and groups to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
Jail
The St. Louis County Jail is a Direct Supervision facility which detains adults and certified juveniles who are pre-trial or serving county sentences. For the most part the population consists of inmates charged with felonies, misdemeanors and municipal ordinance violations. The website provides information on jail policies and procedures, as well as the many programs and services offered to qualified inmates.
Law Library
The St. Louis County Law Library is open to the public and offers materials for legal research, including non-circulating print materials and free access to Westlaw and other State databases. Copiers are available for use at $.10 per page.
Public Administrator
The Public Administrator is a public official who performs the job of a guardian, conservator or personal representative for an estate or incapacitated individual when there is no one else who can perform the job. The Public Administrator is appointed when there is no family or friends of the ward/protectee, there is significant disharmony in the family, or when the court removes an assigned administrator for not performing his or her duties.
Sheriff's Office
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office consists of two divisions: the Bailiff Division which is responsible for the safety and security of judges, court officers and the courtroom, and the Civil Division whose duties include service of civil process, sale of real and personal property, and execution of ordered evictions.
