Officer Of the Quarter

The CPAAA has selected Police Officer Angela Bruno for the officer of the quarter. She started the St. Louis County Police Academy in April of 1996. After graduating P.O. Bruno was hired by the St. Louis County Police Department and assigned to the 1st Precinct patrolling the Spanish Lake area. While assigned to the 1st Precinct P.O. Bruno received numerous awards for various crimes against a person and drug related offenses.

In August of 1999 P.O. Bruno transferred to the Affton Southwest Precinct assigned to the Neighborhood Policing Unit where she was in charge of the citizens police academy and the neighborhood watch program. While working as a full time police officer P.O. Bruno was able to finish her Masters degree in Public Administration.
In April of 2002 P.O. Bruno transferred to the Highway Safety Unit enforcing public safety on the highways and participating in DWI checkpoints. While performing her duties in the Highway Safety unit P.O. Bruno led the group in DWI arrests and was recognized by the MADD organization for her efforts.

In October of 2005 P.O. Bruno transferred to the Bureau of Crimes Against Persons assigned to the Domestic Violence Unit. Shortly thereafter P.O. Bruno moved to the Child Abuse Unit investigating physical and sexual crimes against children. P.O. Bruno led the unit in convictions as well as arrests. P.O. Bruno is also trained as a child forensic interviewer.

In March of 2011 P.O. Bruno volunteered for a transfer to the City of Fenton Precinct where she is currently assigned. P.O. Bruno is happily married to her husband Dan a Civil Engineer, and together they have 3 beautiful children.

Officer Bruno was selected as Officer of the Quarter by a unanimous vote of her supervisors based on her exceptional performance since her arrival in this precinct. She remains active throughout her tour of duty, regularly conducts traffic enforcement, and conducts high quality, thorough investigations. Her vast amount of experience greatly benefits the City of Fenton Precinct on a daily basis.
