In light of the increasing concern about the impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19), St. Louis County Parks would like to share our Department’s status and the extra steps we are taking to reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Status of St. Louis County Parks as of March 23, 2020 at 6 a.m. is the following:

  • All parks and trails will remain open. Many park restrooms are open. Click here for a complete list of open park restrooms.
  • All park playgrounds, indoor facilities (recreation centers and museums) and Creve Coeur Park Soccer Complex will be closed thru at least Wednesday, April 22nd.
  • All programs, activities, events and rentals (regardless of size) are canceled thru at least Wednesday, April 22nd.
  • Any programs, activities, events and rentals that are gatherings of 50 or more people are canceled thru at least Sunday, May 10th.
  • The Tails & Trails Dog Park is closed thru at least April 22. 
  • Park Rangers are continuing their duties as normal.
  • Further closures and cancellations will be reevaluated by April 15th.

George Winter Park is closed due to flooding.


Lower Meramec Trail is closed due to flooding.


The 5 mile loop at Cliff Cave is closed due to flooding. The 1 mile loop is still open.


The entrance to Lone Elk Park is under construction. Access has been rerouted.


The Sioux Passage boat ramp is closed indefinitely.
