NORTH COUNTY


Camp Eagles Nest
Ages: 5-12
Cost: $60/camper/week
Days / Times: Monday - Friday / 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Location: North County Recreation Complex
Our two-week session day camps offer a variety of sports, crafts, theme days, nature programs, games, and swimming daily. Campers begin their day indoors with breakfast and morning stretches and dance to get them energized for a fun day. Campers participate in outdoor activities which are modified during extreme heat. Lunch is provided daily, but campers are welcome to bring their own food, snacks and beverages. Advance registration is required. Call 314 615-8841 or 314 615-8839. Before care is available from 7 - 9 a.m. for $15, after care is available from 3 - 6 p.m. for $22.50. (No Camp Week of July 4th).

NCRC Counselor In Training (C.I.T.)
Ages: 13-15
Cost: $30/week
Days / Times: Monday - Friday / 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Location: North County Recreation Complex
Youth between the ages of 13-15, prepare to become camp counselors with hands on training at the Eagle’s Nest Camp. They will learn to work with ages 5-12 and have training focused on safety, group leadership, activity development and much more. Session dates are the same as Camp Eagles Nest’s and Fee is $30 per week. Advance registration required by calling 314 615-8841.

WEST COUNTY


Camp Queeny
Ages: 5-12
Cost: $75/camper

Location: Queeny Park
Fun in the sun this summer! Activities include sports, nature activities, arts and crafts and special events. Lunch is not provided. Each child should bring their own non-perishable lunch and two water bottles. Advance registration is required by calling 314 615-8472. (Early Bird Care is available 7am-9am for the below dates for $20 per week ($16 for 7/1 week) and Late Bird Care is available 3-6pm for $30 per week ($24 for 7/1 week).

Counselor in Training (C.I.T.)
Ages: 13-15
Cost: Free

Location: Queeny Park/Greensfelder Recreation Complex
This summer, Camp Queeny will be offering a new youth and community outreach program for teens ages 13-15 years old. Counselors in Training (C.I.T.) allows for youth to experience a true leadership role while having fun and engaging others in activities all summer long. This free program will take place weekdays from 9am - 3pm. Camp sessions start Monday, June 3rd through Friday August 2nd. Our C.I.T program will consist of two 2-3 week sessions for volunteers. Volunteers will assist camp staff with daily activities for kids ages 5-12. Applicants should show strong interest in working with youth and a desire to grow professionally and socially. Applicants must complete an application process and volunteer a minimum two weeks of the leadership program to be considered for future employment if applicable. Space is limited. Junior First Responder Camp
Ages: 11-14
Cost: $100/camper
Days/Times: Monday – Friday / 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: Queeny Park
Does your child want to learn about saving lives? Do they have an interest in learning more about firefighting, emergency services or law enforcement? Firefighters, EMS providers and law enforcement professionals are the 1st Responders that work together to save lives every day. During this 5-day camp, participants will learn from professionals who work and train as 1st responders in our community including: Police Tactical Operations, Helicopters, K9 Demonstrations, Crime Scene, Bomb & Arson, Water Safety, 1st Aid, Mounted Patrol and Fire Safety. Youth Fishing Day Camps
Ages: 9-15

Location: Queeny Park
St. Louis’ only “fishing” day camp is a big hit with kids! St. Louis County Park Rangers conduct the camp where children spend the week learning to be good anglers. Each day the group will venture out to a new fishing location. Meet in front of the Recreation Complex off of the Weidman Road entrance. Meet promptly at 8:30 a.m. Each child should bring their own non-perishable lunch and two water bottles. Fishing equipment will be provided. Advance registration is required. Call 314 615-8472.

Mad Science “Make It” Camp
Ages: 5-12

Days/Times: Tuesday – Friday / 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Location: Queeny Park
Roll up your sleeves, put on your makers cap, and get ready to create! This is our most hands-on camp! Campers will build their very own geodesic dome large enough for the entire camp to sit in. Who can build the strongest bridge? Can your bridge withstand the shake rattle and roll challenge? Explore the world of birds and beasts with birdhouse building and our super bug investigation. Speaking of birds, what did Hooty the owl have for dinner? A mouse? A Squirrel? A Frog? Kids will dissect owl pellets and reconstruct Hooty’s dinner. Enter the Mad Science chemistry lab and mix, mash, and brew concoctions to create cool sidewalk chalk and bath fizzers! From the earliest flying machines to the first rocket flights, this week long, hands on program will give children a bird’s eye view of the history and science of flight.Your child will build many different flying devices and explore the science of aerodynamics and flight with the help of Newton’s laws. Walk on stilts! Ride a unicycle! These are just a couple tricks you’ll learn in this Abra-Kid-Abra camp. You’ll learn juggling, plate spinning, clown acts, animal balloons, and much more! Plus we are introducing some brand new juggling and balancing skills this year. Camp culminates with the students performing an amazing circus for their family and friends.

It’s funny how much fun you can have when you’re learning to be funny! Learn comedy by doing it at Kids Comedy Camp. You’ll master the secrets of stand-up, sketch, and improvisation comedy. Take home a new gag each day such as a rubber chicken, squirt rings, gag glasses and more. At week’s end you’ll display your newly enhanced confidence, creativity, performance skills and sense of humor in a show for family and friends.

The 5 mile loop trail at Cliff Cave Park is closed due to flooding. The ½ mile loop trail is still open.


Widman Park is closed due to flooding.


George Winter Park is closed due to flooding.


The entrance to Lower Meramec Trail from highway 55 is closed. The Holzer Road side is open. The center of the trail is closed due to flooding.


Unger Park roads are open to the Riverside Trail Parking lot, however, the Riverside Trail remains closed beyond this parking lot.


The Grant's Spur along Grant's Trail was severely damaged during periods of heavy rain. For safety reasons, this short trail has been closed.


Ohlendorf Park restroom will out of service until further notice. Portable toilets and hand washing stations remain onsite for public use.
