Late Night Fishing
Every second Saturday of the month, April - October, Suson, Simpson and Spanish Lake Parks stay open until 11 p.m. for late night fishing. Bring your poles, baits and lanterns. Fishing is permitted from the bank only. Call (314) 615-4386 for more information. 

Youth Fishing Lessons
Join a St. Louis County Parks Ranger to learn the basics of fishing. Children will learn how to tie knots, identify a variety of fish species and rig fishing poles for a safe and successful fishing experience. Fishing equipment will be provided. For kids 8 - 15 years old. Cost is $6/person. Meet at Rearing Pond in Suson Park. Space is limited, please register in advance by calling (314) 615-4386.

Kids Fishing Derby
Bring the kids out for a fun morning of fishing! Meet at the Leo Wilson Shelter by the North County Recreation Complex. A Missouri State Fishing license is required for ages 16-65. Advance registration is requested by calling (314) 615-8841. Cost is $5/person.

Overnight Fishing
Fish all night! A Park Ranger will be on site throughout the evening to assist. Canoes will be available to check-out for an additional fee. Coffee will be provided in the morning. Advance registration is required by calling (314) 615-4386. Location is Simpson Park, cost is $10/person.

Intro to Fly Fishing
Ozark Fly Fishers is proud to co-host fly fishing classes in conjunction with the St. Louis County Parks and Recreation department. Ozark Fly Fishers is a fly fishing and conservation organization affiliated with the Federation of Fly Fishers whose primary objective is to improve fisheries and promote the sport of fly fishing. Intro to Fly Tying
This class will teach you all you need to know to enjoy a lifetime of creating your own flies for trout, pan fish, and bass. Course includes materials, supplies, & use of necessary equipment. Advanced registration required by calling 314-615-8472.

Trout Fishing & Chili Feed
Register early for this popular event! Fish for rainbow trout and enjoy an all-you-can-eat chili feed. Anglers must have a state fishing license and an annual trout permit is required to possess trout. Advance registration is required. Fishing at Lone Elk Lake
Due to the lake leak last year, Lone Elk Lake will be closed to fishing in 2017 in order to rebuild the fish population. If you have questions, please contact us at [email protected].
