Re-Occupancy Permit Applications
A Re-occupancy permit requires that a minimum standard of safety and health inspection be conducted on all properties in unincorporated St. Louis County at the time of an occupant change. The ordinance that supports this requirement was put into effect in October 2005 for rental units and July 2007 for sale homes.
The only forms of payment accepted online are debit, credit and trust (escrow) accounts.
Single family: $80.00
Duplex (2 units in building): $80.00 per unit
Apartments (3 or more units in one building): $40.00 per unit
There is a $20 administrative fee for cancelled applications. No refund issued after first inspection.
First time home buyers going through a support program (ie. Beyond Housing, Better Family Life, etc) MUST apply in person at either satellite office.
These programs require the minimum standard safety and health inspection and a lead inspection at a cost of $95.50.
Re-occupancy permits are currently issued on this website only for Unincorporated St. Louis County.
Residents of municipalities should contact their respective municipal officials for re-occupancy requirements, if any.
