Animal Care and Control Service Changes

March 18, 4:00 PM
  • In accordance with CDC recommendations and the St. Louis County Department of Public Health, in order to keep our staff, volunteers, and community safe, the St. Louis County Animal Adoption Center will be closed to the public starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Daily Animal Control Operations will not be impacted. If you think your animal is at the shelter, you can call us at (314) 615-0650 to make an appointment and come look for your pet. Please call to make intake arrangements for stray animals. No “walk-ins” will be accepted at this time.

Assessor's Office Service Changes

Due to the current COVID-19 Stay At Home Order from County Executive Page, we are working with a reduced staff, all of whom are working out of the Office. Therefore, some of our services, such as our call center, will not be operating as usual.

Human Services Service Changes

  • Effective Friday, March 20, 2020, all Department of Human Services locations will be closed to the public. This includes offices in Clayton, South County, Northwest Crossings, and other satellite locations.
  • Residents will not be able to access in-person services from the County Older Residents Program, County Veterans Program, Homeless Services Program, Office of Community Development, or from administrative offices.
  • Career centers located at Northwest Crossings, Florissant, and satellite locations will be closed.
  • Drop boxes in Clayton and at Northwest Crossings are available for your convenience. Please do not leave any sensitive or confidential documents.

Department of Human Services Event Cancellations:

  • The County Older Residents program has suspended transportation and tax services.
  • All Continuum of Care Meetings have been cancelled. The next meeting was scheduled for April 1st, 2020 from 8:30-10:30 am.
  • The CDBG Technical Assistance Workshop for Municipalities scheduled for March 30th, 2020, from 10 am to 2:30 pm has been cancelled.
  • The Division of Workforce Development has cancelled its Business Summit scheduled for May 13th and 14th, 2020.
  • All job fairs, information sessions, trainings, and related activities are cancelled.

Justice Services Service Changes

March 26, 7:00 PM

  • Due to the current health threat COVID-19, the employee gym located on the 3rd floor administrative area of the Justice Center will be closed until further notice.

March 23, 5:00 PM

  • St. Louis County Justice Services Advisory Board meeting scheduled for Friday, March 27, 2020 is canceled.

  • This action is taken in accordance of several COVID-19 Health and Security protocols mandated throughout all levels of government.

  • Until Further Notice anyone needing access to the Justice Center must enter through the Courts Building.

  • All programs, activities, events and rentals (regardless of size) are canceled thru at least Wednesday, April 22nd.

  • Park Rangers are continuing their duties as normal.

Revenue Service Changes

  • In-person/face-to-face services at all offices are suspended.
  • Phone contact with the Collector of Revenue, the Recorder of Deeds and the Licensing Division will be temporarily unavailable during the week of March 23.
  • Residents may submit deeds and declarations and make tax payments by drop box at 41 S. Central in Clayton.
  • Marriage licenses oath-taking has been temporarily moved to the entry area of 105 S. Central in Clayton, and will be administered from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Property tax receipts are only available via mail and online.

St. Louis County Municipal Court Service Changes

  • Effective March 30, 2020

    The St. Louis County Municipal Court hours will be from 8:00am-2:00pm, Monday through Friday.

  • All scheduled court dates remain suspended.
  • Notices of rescheduled court dates will be mailed out upon the resumption of regular court services.
  • All satellite court locations are closed, this includes phone calls, faxes and in-person payments.

  • The St. Louis County Municipal Court shall postpone and reschedule all dockets, hearings, trials, and other proceedings during the State of Emergency. The judges and the Deputy Administrator of the St. Louis County Municipal Court shall undertake such actions as are necessary to recall warrants when appropriate and other actions that may be appropriate in these circumstances. Notice of court dates will be mailed out upon resumption of regular court dockets.

In an effort to promote public health and safety, effective 03/27/2020, the Saint Louis County Department of Public Health’s Division of Vital Records lobby located at 6121 N. Hanley Road, Berkeley, MO will be closed to in-person guests until further notice.
